Aurélien Laherte, the 7th generation running this family estate founded in 1889, farms most of the 9 hectares biodynamically and crafts his Champagnes with both new and old techniques. Primary fermentation takes place in barrels to add complexity and intensity, whilst dosage is kept very low to allow the natural character of the fruit and terroir to shine through. The result is a rich and complex nose with subtle oxidation, leading to a luscious, full-bodied palate that's well-balanced by just-perceptible acidity behind perfectly controlled dosage. Plenty of citrus, distinctive stony minerality, and a refreshing finish with mouthwatering balance and real length. This stunning Brut offers excellent value and drinks beautifully now, whilst having the structure to cellar for up to 10 years.
