In 1959, a railroad causeway was built directly through Great Salt Lake (UT), creating a salinity imbalance and consequently a striking water color discrepancy between the north an d south sides. Lake Effect showcases aerial photos of this phenomenon and splices them together, creating new compositions and raising questions about human influence on natural environments.
