The designs of the carpets in the Archive collection come from a restoration of vintage designs of historic Art Deco rugs and research on decoration in antique furniture from the same historical period. Wool and silk, in different combinations, create plays of depth combined with the shades and patterns drawn. Frames with decorative details are another accent that connects all the elements in the collection; the many shapes, from octagonal to round to rectangular and runner, make these designs suitable for any room of an interior. A variable knot density allows us to reproduce even the most minor details of designs. The Lalibela rug is made of 76% wool and 24% silk, with a knot density of 150 knots/inch and a 4 mm pile height.
