A handlebar should not only feel good, but also allow for several sensible and comfortable positions. There are now hundreds of racing handlebars, but unfortunately none of them have the aerodynamic and ergonomic properties that are important to usin a handlebar united. So we developed our very special handlebar. The Cross-Wing Aero handlebars. Who is the handlebar for? Racing cyclists or cyclists who need particularly aerodynamic and narrow handlebars. Gravel bike riders who want to ride an aero handlebar that is not too wide and dampening, but cannot do without the flare, a small drop and the ability to mount accessories on the top handlebar. For all athletes who ride in larger groups or a racing peloton. HIGHLIGHTS 1. The Cross-Wing handlebar has a flattened top link for good aerodynamics (approx. 12 watts) and a comfortable grip. In addition, the flat upper link allows for noticeable damping on the brake handles and in the lower link. 2. The brake handle width is approx. 7cm smaller than the width of the lower link. This allows for a very aerodynamic position and the ability to rest your forearms on the flat top handlebars (similar to the time trial handlebars with forearm pads). 3. The flare on the lower links allows plenty of space for the forearms when sprinting. In addition, the drop is extremely low, so the lower link position is very comfortable. 4. The ability to easily swap handlebars is important. If you have a handlebar in which the cables go through the handlebars, all lines and shift cables must be removed from the frame and rerouted when changing. The brakes must then be bled and the gearshift adjusted. If you don't do this yourself, you can pay up to 200 euros to the bike dealer. After a fall, a “quick” handlebar change with integrated cables is not possible. That's why our cross-wing handlebars have an open cable channel under the top link in which the cables are inserted.
