There are so many cool wineries in Sicily, clustered around volcanic mountains, coastlines and slopes which feature many great and iconic wineries. In the centre of Sicily there is a ton of industrial grain production. Tucked among these agricultural projects is Lamoresca, This is the homeland of Filipo Rizzo. Filipo met his Belgian wife, Nancy while she was backpacking through Italy. They ran a Sicilian Restaurant in Belgium for many years before deciding to head home and start his own project (starting with a mentorship from Frank Cornelisson!). This is 100% Vermentino from Sicily! It has two days of skin-contact, just enough to add a touch of texture. It is aged 12 months in old neutral barrels.
