Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata) Lanceleaf Coreopsis is one of the sunniest, most cheerful wildflowers native to the Midwest. Its golden-yellow, daisy-like blooms light up the landscape from early summer into midsummer, and look especially striking when planted in drifts. These long-lasting blooms sit atop wiry stems above clumps of slender, lance-shaped leaves, bringing a breezy, relaxed feel to prairie-style plantings and more traditionally designed gardens alike. Easy to grow and quick to establish, Lanceleaf Coreopsis thrives in lean, well-drained soils (even in gravel or sand) and can tolerate drought once established.
