Titles of works in this series are (almost all) musical terms. langes: this word I actually made up - the line of the dancer's neck reminded me a long extended note. the closest approximation is "Lange", a German word that translates to "long" in English. It is used to describe something with greater length or duration. So to me it seems just right!
