This online course is designed to fulfill the Language Arts requirement for 9th grade students. Language Arts 9 covers the four core areas outlined by the Common Core State Standards: reading literature, reading non-fiction, writing, and speaking and listening. The reading instruction emphasizes citing textual evidence, identifying main ideas and themes, analyzing characters, interpreting words, and understanding text structures and perspectives.
