Elements 3.0 is an exclusive small batch single malt whisky, with notes of roasted cocoa beans and bitter dark chocolate. The third installment in Laphroaig's award-winning Elements series, this limited release was the result of a fire in a kiln that burned peat for longer and at higher temperatures than usual. Experimenting with heat brought out chocolate and coffee notes – resulting in this extraordinary whisky. Laphroaig’s whiskies are always richly flavored and characterful – and Elements 3.0 is certainly no exception. It’s a perfect third component to the series made up of Elements 1.0 and Elements 2.0, which experimented with changing wort and mash tun size, and fermentation times.
