[fr] CONSTRUIRE LOCAL (FÉVRIER 2023) Que signifie "construire local" à l’heure d’une pénurie généralisée des ressources et matériaux de construction ? C’est sans doute l’un des termes les plus galvaudés aujourd’hui : local et, plus encore, l’expression "construire local" est de toutes les lèvres et de tous les projets. Car c’est entendu : pour diminuer un bilan carbone, réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre, bref lutter contre le réchauffement climatique, il convient de construire au plus près de ressources choisies, dans le cadre de circuits courts. Cela étant dit, est-ce que "construire local" est toujours le meilleur calcul en matière de bilan écologique ? Comment distinguer les entreprises réellement vertueuses des chantiers d’apparence ? [fr] [en] BUILDING LOCALLY (FEBRUARY 2023) It is without doubt one of the most overused terms today: “local” and, even more so, the expression "building locally" is on everyone's lips and in every project. Being understood that in order to reduce a carbon footprint, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in short to fight against the ecological crisis, it is advisable to build as close as possible to selected resources, within the framework of short circuits. That being said, is "building locally" always the best strategy in terms of ecological balance? How can we distinguish genuinely virtuous buildings from simple statements without any reality? AA has investigated "local" architecture from all over the world.
