A dramatic burst of alternating gold and silver lines radiate from bold 18ct gold Keum-boo centres to create this wonderful statement brooch. Made in sterling silver with 18ct gold Keum-boo and oxidised silver. 7 x 7cm approx. The Designer Jessica Briggs uses her background in textiles and printing to inform her distinctive jewellery through a series of well-honed techniques. The use of a Korean technique called Keum-boo, when combined with oxidation, adds depths and emphasises the minute details of textures. There is an inherent simplicity of both form and function in Jessica's work. All designs, whatever the inspiration, are translated into elegant pieces with subtle textures or more complex and layered finishes.
