Garden Hand Pump A beautifully traditional garden hand-pump made from good, strong cast iron.It is fully functioning and moulded from an original classic design.It can be connected to a suitable pipe to make a useful and attractive garden feature. But even as a purely decorative item it has plenty of character and vintage charm. Available in a lovely matte black finish.To connect a hosepipe it requires a 1-1/4 Inch British Standard Thread (BSP) (41.91 mm/1.65")The pump can operate as a water feature with a continuous flow of water. The inner valve mechanism would just need to be removed.We advise that a foot valve (non return valve) is used at the bottom of the delivery pipe when pumping water from anything over 60cm, this is common practice with most well pumps.
