Made from solid reclaimed elm, our light finish really emphasizes the beautiful grain of the wood. This deeper, wider version of our Ming chest of drawers has a real sense of under stated oriental style. The chest has two full width drawers with two smaller drawers above, each made using traditional dovetail joints and mounted on metal runners for easier opening. Again it is a modern design - the Chinese did not use chests of drawers as we did in the west until quite recently - but the classic frame and panel joinery and circular brass handles are typical of traditional Chinese furniture.
