A very large silver plated travel drinking flask with large removable drinking cup. This is a stunning piece, very simple in design, however, what makes this flask unusual is the l arge capacity. The flask, when full is capable of containing 1 1/4 pint of the tipple of choice! Plus, the thick gauge body also splits in two for are movable drinking cup that slides off the body. This cup also doubles as an added layer of protection to the flask, to prevent any damage to the precious cargo. This particular flask is more of a travel flask for a hunting or fishing trip, or perhaps a weekend away. As opposed to a trip to the game. It is sturdy empty, once full it would not be pocket worthy! The flask has full makers marks on the base for the prolific and highly regarded silversmith's James Dixon & Sons. Among a huge variety of items made, they were prolific flask makers in all shapes and sizes. The lid is a classic bayonet style fitting, secure, and with a cork liner to prevent any leakage.
