Lagenaria siceraria A mixture of many of our most popular large gourds. The rarest types, Bushel Gourd is not included in this mixture. These large gourd varieties are ideal for cr afting. Planting Directions: Plant in spring when ground has warmed to 70˚, optimum 80°. In cooler climates start seeds in a greenhouse 6-8 weeks before transplanting. Gourds require well fertilized, rich, warm soil. To help keep the soil warm, cover with mulch or black plastic before planting seed. Space plants 4 feet between plants. Keep soil well watered.
