Hand built vase by Los Angeles ceramic artist Sophie Maarek. Measurements: Approximately 13.5" by 8". Sofi was born and raised in France and comes from a multi-cultural family, she has been living in Los Angeles for 20 years. Her work is best described as a dance between gravity and clay. Sofi creates textured, sculptured vessels inspired by her deep interest in African cultures and nature. Her work ranges from porcelain flowers to functional pieces such as lamps, all of which are challenging and rewarding to create. Show more
