Handcrafted Quality: Rattan reed handwoven over a solid wood bottom, with one bent wood handle arched over the middle and wrapped in a spiral of reed, by an Old Order Amish family on the Iowa-Missouri border, and signed by the weaver who made it. The Family Size: 17 x 13 inches, 7 1/4 inches deep and 15 inches to the top of the handle: a big kid's Easter basket, one two children share, or a grown-up's gift basket. The Handle Stays Up: The handle is fixed in place, and the 15 inches are measured to the top of it. It crosses the width of the oval, and each handle is bent on a jig made for its size. The woven basket itself is 7 1/4 inches deep. Measures: 17" x 13" x 15" tall, to the top of the handle. Contents not included. Three Trim Colors: Choose Plain, Wine & Blue, or Wine & Green. The color is woven in as dyed reed, not painted on, and on the plain finish the stain takes to each piece of wood in its own way. Optional Extras: Two liners are sewn for this basket and sold right on this page: a plain liner in cream, wine, blue or green, and a pastel liner in pink, purple, yellow or emerald, each tied in with two bonnet ties. An engraved solid brass plate and protective feet are optional too. The basket ships empty, with no liner, grass or eggs. American Heritage: Handwoven in the USA and signed by the Amish weaver who made it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee, with free shipping and no-questions returns on every order. Waldine bought it for two grandchildren: "It was spacious enough to stuff with everything I wanted in there and more." Paul filled one for his wife, and "she wants to use it to store her cookbooks in it. She said she doesn't want to hide it!" Catherine plans that "it will serve as a basket to carry cut flowers or vegetables from my garden." Until 2021 this basket was sold as the Extra Large Oval Easter Basket. The size names moved down a step that year and the baskets kept their measurements, so an extra large oval bought before then is this basket. The Large Round Easter Basket is the same depth at 14 1/2 inches across, and for the most room, the Biggest Easter Basket is 20 1/2 x 15 and 8 1/4 deep. The sizes are the outside of the rim. Each liner is sewn for one size, so choose it here, on the page for this basket; a liner ordered with the basket arrives tied in place. The engraved brass plate takes a name, a date or a short line, up to 22 characters on each of two lines, and is screwed to the front band with two small brass screws before the basket ships. A plate can also be ordered on its own later, screws included, for a basket you already have. An Old Order Amish family weaves it by hand on the Iowa-Missouri border, in the same community as the rest of our Easter baskets, and the weaver signs the bottom before it leaves the farm. Standard shipping is free, and rush delivery is offered at checkout when Easter is close. Sizes can sell out in the weeks before Easter; the notify-me button on this page emails you when the next one is ready in the Shipping Barn. It ships gift-ready, with no prices in the box, a free gift note at checkout, and a short letter about the family who wove it. Like every basket we sell, it carries our lifetime guarantee, and returns are no questions asked. Measures: 17" x 13" x 15" tall
