There is something deeply soulful about a simple wooden spoon—especially one carved by hand to feed a village. This Antique Primitive Spoon captures the romance of slow living and communal feasting. Originally designed as a utilitarian tool for stirring massive pots of grains or curds in rural kitchens, it has been reimagined as a sculptural relic of culinary history. No two are alike. Carved from a single piece of solid hardwood, each spoon tells a story through its imperfections. You can visually trace the authentic marks of the adze and knife in the wood grain. Over decades of daily use, the surface has been smoothed to perfection, developing a rich, dark patina that feels warm to the touch. It is not just a utensil; it is a piece of "Wabi-Sabi" art that celebrates the beauty of the handmade. Please, do not hide this in a drawer. It is designed to be displayed as modern rustic sculpture. Group 3 to 5 spoons together in a heavy stoneware crock or vintage olive jar for an instant, curated "chef's kitchen” look or hang it horizontally above a stove or vertically on a narrow column to create a striking, three-dimensional architectural focal point. *Era: Antique *Size: 23"(L) x 5.75“(D) x 2“(H) *Material: Solid Tropical Hardwood *Color: Dark Espresso/Warm Brown/Unfinished *Style: Hand-Carved/Adze Marks/Wabi-Sabi *Origin: India (Rural/Tribal Areas) *Condition: Wear consistent with age & use, blemishes and imperfections will be present.
