The Ostara Shawl was handmade in my home studio during the week of the Spring Equinox (Ostara). I love Spring. The excitement of seeing wee buds appearing & beautiful wildflowers popping their pretty heads out. There is certainly a bit of excitement & magic around :) This large hand felted shawl is made from soft merino, bamboo & recycled sari wool. It also has recycled sari silk & sequins felted into it for extra texture & is embellished with leaves, love hearts, beads, spiral, tassels & a flower trimming. Many colours are blended in this shawl – blues, navy, greens, purples, pinks, red, orange, yellow & there are 6 long tassels either side with leaves & wooden beads. A very detailed, textured piece. A lot of love & hours went into the making. Stunning for a special occasion but equally lovely with jeans as a more casual look. Please contact me if you would like something similar made.
