This is a desirable vintage large square-shaped travel storage trunk - a British-made shipping trunk from the 1960-70s generously sized for the grandest of trips. Large Square Stor age Trunk size: W61cm x D54cm x H52cm. We're impressed by the handsome aged brown patina and the brightly coloured 'P.G.E.' initials of the previous owner. This old piece of shipping attire has a charming vintage appeal that has evolved from its minor scuffs and scratches. We suspect the trunk was used to transport equipment – on the inside you can see the remains of straps that would have been used the secure the content.The trunk is made from compressed fibre – this was a super modern innovative material of the era. Clearly it was a great material because this trunk is in great condition for its long life. Today the trunk is still robust and sturdy. Imagine using this trunk for home storage.
