Check out these beautiful large bone batik from Africa! They are hand-dyed beads from Kenya, Africa. The dying method is known as "batik", which is a wax relief process. The design on these is a wave pattern, with the pattern going all the way around the bead. These beads are strung on sisal and could even be worn as is.
