Chiyogami papers are hand-printed using the silk-screen technique, in which each color is individually applied using a separate screen. Sometimes as many as 12 colors, including go ld or other metallics, may be used to create a single pattern. This pattern is large waves in grayscale or shades of blue. The full paper size may vary marginally, but the patterned area is approximately 24 in x 36 in surrounded by an unprinted border on all sides. *Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, the color of products may appear different on different monitors. *Image is of a segment of the paper, not the whole paper.
