Made in Tasmania using traditional tin-making methods, the S.G. Emmett Bar Tin is individually cut, notched, folded and joined by hand, with each seam carefully hammered over an anvil. A rolled wire edge adds strength and durability to the finished tin. The bread tins are made using a heavier metal to make a crust on the bread and a soft centre. With proper care, S.G. Emmett tins will develop character and provide many years of service. Dimensions: 9 x 13.5 x 24cm (at widest point) Care: The tin is coated with a thin layer of cooking oil to protect it. Hand wash in warm water with mild soap or detergent and avoid harsh abrasives. Dry thoroughly in a warm oven. To season, coat the tin with a very thin layer of olive oil and place upside down in a cold oven. Heat the oven to very hot and bake for 20 minutes, then allow the tin to cool. Repeat if desired.
