This hits bright and textural, bursting with apricot, pineapple and melon, with a thread of dried herbs and a lovely saline lift. About five days on skins keeps the colour pale but the aromas vivid, giving just enough grip to keep it interesting without tipping into full-orange territory. LaRural is the project of brothers Xavi and Andreu Padró, working their family’s organically farmed vines in Alt Camp, Tarragona, 30 km from the Med.
