In 2019, Lucy wakes up from a dream to find herself choking her ex-lover. Terrified, she runs to her older sister Jess's home on the Australian coast, hoping Jess can help explain the vivid nightmare that preceded the attack. But Jess is nowhere to be found. As rumors circulate about the strange village, Lucy discovers a diary Jess kept in her youth. The story spans three timelines: Lucy’s search in 2019, Jess’s adolescence in 1999, and the story of twin sisters Mary and Eliza in the 1800s, separated from their father and sent to Australia. The Sirens is a stunning tale of female resilience and the deep bonds between sisters, filled with mystery, magic, and the call of the sea. Show more
