Last September by Helen R. Hull. 1998 Naiad Press, first edition. Cover and book in very good condition. This collection includes seven stories, one of which is the novella Last Se ptember, which NYT reviewed "will live as a class, equal in stature to Ethan Fromme..." This and many of her stories illustrate what it means for women to love women in the early 20th century. "Had she thought, because she moved so much about the earth, never staying long in one place, never in any way settling down, that rumors of her affairs would never reach as far as her home town?"
