Last Summer represents a typical New Zealand holiday spot. The pohutukawas, bach and agapanthas are signifiers of summer. The central feature of this artwork is a storm water drain. Commonly seen around coastal areas, storm water drains would not usually be considered ‘beautiful’, but surrounding this drain is lush greenery, overgrown and thriving due to the fresh water the drain provides. The pooled water creates a lovely olive and golden haze, reflecting the backdrop of dense plant life, creating a tranquil scene. Printed on 220gsm flat matte surface with sharp detail and high colour saturation. Limited edition of 80. All prints come with a 2cm border so they can be signed and numbered.
