Raw barely edited photo. This turtle looks so strikingly beautiful - it was love at first sight. If you look deeper and connect closer you will notice white flaky stuff on the turt le. This is sadly caused by plastic pollution. As the disease progresses, small pits form just under the surface of the shell, giving it the appearance that the something has been eating away at it. As the condition progresses even further, the shell will being to appear uneven. In very serious cases entire shell plates may even fall off, exposing the nerves and bond underneath. A photo to remind us to do what we can to protect turtles, marine life...our oceans. Love should be unconditional and forever. Show more
