The Lattice Bench by Ariake investigates the balance between solid and transparent; its wooden lattice base naturally playing with light and shadow. Inspired by the architectural s hutters used to control light streaming into buildings, the harmonious repetitions create an overall feeling of restorative calm, reminiscent of traditional Japanese shopfronts.
