Frankie Pan Laugh Die Me Mixed stoneware23 x 17 x 11 cm$400 Laugh Die Me is a sculptural vase that functions as a playful, silent confidant in the home. The title is a literal translation of a common Cantonese phrase meaning “laughing to death”. Through humour, cultural translation, and everyday ritual, Frankie’s work transforms a familiar household object into a companion that holds stories, emotions, and moments of connection. The piece forms part of Frankie Pan's ongoing exploration of identity, migration, and belonging as a Chinese Singaporean living in Australia, further complicated by the mid-life crisis of a 43 year old goth who loves Charli XCX. Shipping is not included in the online artwork purchase price. Artworks currently on exhibition can be collected from the gallery at 45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000 once the exhibition has concluded.
