Launch - Logo Trucker Hat - Red Launch: Community Through Skateboarding is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that fosters a culture of creativity and self-expression to skateboarders throughout northern Colorado. The organization provides an environment in which to engage in skateboarding as a form of recreation, develop leadership skills through volunteerism, utilize creative-thinking skills through hands-on learning experiences and ultimately make meaningful connections within our community. Launch founder and executive director, Andy Weiss, has played an integral role in Colorado’s skateboard community for over two decades. After owning and operating the local skateboard retail business, The Market Skateshop, for fifteen years, Mr. Weiss took his commitment to the skateboard community one step further. In 2011, he left the skateboard retail world to start a non-profit organization with no other agenda than to bring people together through skateboarding. After receiving tax exempt status, the organization facilitated a successful crowd-funding campaign to help support the opening of Launch’s facility and indoor skatepark. Since then, the Launch organization has become a symbol of the power of skating to enrich the lives of countless individuals throughout northern Colorado.
