For large or extra dirty loads of laundry, double the amount of Laundry Powder. Our Laundry Powder does not contain enzymes, so it is safe to use for washing natural protein-based fibers like wool and silk. It is also safe to use with all water temperatures and gentle enough for baby clothes and people with sensitive skin. Many washing machines are designed for liquid detergent rather than powder detergent. We suggest adding laundry powder directly to the drum before adding the dirty clothes to the machine. This ensures the powder dissolves adequately. Less is more. For loads that are less than full, you can decrease the amount of detergent you use. Though it may seem counterintuitive, too much detergent can make clothes feel unclean. Excess detergent can get caught in clothes and washing machines, resulting in build-up and causing unwanted odors and dinginess. Storage / We recommend transferring laundry soap into a vessel with a lid to prevent clumping. Humble Suds Laundry Soap contains no preservatives, therefore it may gradually begin to clump.
