Every once in a while you come across a little taxidermy fox hung on a rich piece of walnut wood. Lovely — in a certain way. Here’s an homage to that way of thinking, without any h arm to the fox. Laurels is painted on an antique mirror, the fox rendered in oil against his own reflection, set in a 19th-century frame with all the nicks and discoloration that come with a life well lived.
