A low, rounded base rises to a narrow neck, from which the rim spreads outward in wide, petal-like flaps, sitting almost flat, like a crown resting lightly on the form. The lavende r stems stand tall above it, held loosely from below. The body is painted white with acrylic, the petal rim touched with pale lavender and silver. Finished with a water-based sealer. The stems can be changed, removed, rearranged. Dried lavender, grasses, any slender botanical that suits the season or the mood.
