Lavender lovers, this one is for you! Inspired by the popular Taylor Swift song and colors of the music video. This recipe is mostly olive oil, so it's very gentle, similar to a castile soap. Adding coconut and other oils allow this soap to cure in 6 weeks versus the 6 months it can take to cure a true castile soap. 4.5 oz bar Ingredients: Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Canola Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Vitamin E, Sodium Lactate, Fragrance, Colorant, Dried Lavender Buds Fragrance: This is a fragrance oil, not lavender essential oil. Yes, it smells like lavender, but it doesn't have the medicinal smell that you get from the essential oil. It's a mix of lavender, eucalyptus, star anise, hemp seed, oat milk, and fresh hay. Bottom notes of cedar, musk, patchouli, and tonka bean round it out nicely. A note about handmade soap care: With the majority of ingredients being oils and butters, rather than bubbling agents or preservatives, handmade soap will wash away quite quickly if left in a wet environment. Use a soap dish or tray where air can get under the soap or store in a mesh bag away from flowing water.
