You can smell this bar through the wrapper. Most lavender products smell like a scented candle at a big box store. That's synthetic fragrance doing its job. This bar uses pure French Lavender essential oil, and you'll know the difference in one breath. It's sharper than you expect. More herbaceous. More like crushing actual lavender plants between your fingers, which is exactly the point. You can see the real lavender buds pressed throughout the bar. They're not decorative. As you lather, they release a fresh bloom of scent that no synthetic fragrance has ever been able to replicate, no matter what the label promises. It's a small thing. But small things are what separate real soap from product. The formula is superfatted with shea butter and built on an olive oil base, so it cleans without that tight, stripped feeling. Face, body, wherever you need it. This is the bar people keep on their nightstand just because they like how the bathroom smells afterward. "Lavender doesn't need help. Most companies blend it with twelve other things until it smells like a department store candle. I wanted a bar where French Lavender could just be itself. The buds are my favorite part. Crush one and the scent hits you all over again." — Emily Whitlock, Co-Founder & Formulator Why You'll Love The Lavender Soap Bar Pure Scent, No Tricks: French Lavender essential oil from high-altitude fields where the plants concentrate their oils. No "lavender type" fragrance. No synthetic blends. One ingredient, full expression. Real Buds, Real Purpose: Those purple specks are culinary-grade lavender buds. They soften in water and release extra essential oil as you lather, creating fresh bursts of aromatherapy mid-shower. Also the gentlest exfoliation you'll find. Superfatted for Skin: Extra olive oil and shea butter stay in the bar instead of washing down the drain. Your skin gets moisturized while it gets clean. No tight, dry aftermath. The Evening Bar: Lavender has centuries of documented calming properties. Use this before bed and your bathroom becomes the quietest room in the house for five minutes. Which, honestly, might be all you need. This Is Why We Do It "The lavender soap is nice and gentle and not over-scented. No perfumes, just nice essential oil giving it its lovely lavender scent. And it is gentle enough to use everywhere. No stinging from harshness." — Wendolyn M. How to Use It Run the water warm enough to create steam. Work the bar between your palms and let the lather build. You'll feel the buds as gentle texture against your skin, and they release extra scent as the soap dissolves around them. Breathe in through your nose. This bar is best in the evening when you're winding down, but it works whenever you need the world to get a little quieter. Store on a draining soap dish between uses; cold-process soap lasts longest when it can dry out completely. Key Ingredients French Lavender Essential Oil From high-altitude fields where shorter growing seasons force the plants to concentrate their oils. This is what lavender actually smells like before the fragrance industry got hold of it. Olive Oil & Shea Butter The superfatted base that makes daily use possible. Extra oils stay in the bar so your skin ends up softer, not drier, after every wash. Whole Lavender Buds Culinary grade. Gentle enough to eat, more than gentle enough to wash with. They soften in water, release extra scent as you lather, and prove this bar was made by people who care about the details. Goes Well With Lemon Verbena Soap Bar: The morning counterpart. Lavender winds you down, Lemon Verbena wakes you up. Keep both and alternate based on time of day. A two-bar rotation that covers every mood. Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Soap Bar: Our most popular bar for twenty-seven years running. Different scent, same commitment to sensitive skin. Keep one at each sink and see which runs out first. Relaxing Lavender Foaming Tub Truffle: For when you have time to actually soak. Drop one in, let it fizz, and extend the lavender into a full bath experience. Go ahead. You've earned it. Real lavender has never needed a sales pitch.
