The Quartz Express is an Instant On/Off flash unit, whereby the quartz tubes heat instantly and flash faster than traditional I.R. panels. Also, the Lawson Quartz Express does not heat up your platens as much as infrared panels. As your platen rotates in to position, the Lawson Quartz Express senses (via a sensor) the platen's position and automatically turns on. Flash time is fully adjustable and turns off based on the settings the user has programmed.
