Lead Trilogy is a distortion pedal with a strong British character, inspired by high gain Marshall heads from the 1980s and 1990s, a period when the guitar played a central role across many genres beyond rock. These amplifiers have become iconic and continue to be reissued as cult classics. The pedal is designed to recreate the sound of three of these amplifiers in a compact format, featuring fully analog circuitry and a design optimized to be connected to the input of most amplifiers set to a clean tone. The Jubilee mode recreates the distinctive asymmetrical clipping circuit of the original head, delivering a tone rich in upper harmonics with a sharp yet creamy focus. The 800 mode is characterized by a strong midrange presence and direct response, allowing it to cut through any mix. The 900 mode produces a more saturated distortion with added compression and sustain, offering a pronounced yet clear and warm tone that enhances expressive playing such as vibrato in lead lines. The controls include Volume to adjust the overall output level, Tone to shape the frequency response of the distortion from darker and warmer to brighter and more aggressive, and Gain to control the amount of distortion in a manner similar to the original amplifiers.
