Available Now! Occasionally called Chinese celery, leaf celery is grown for its leaves rather than its stems, as is the case with traditional western celery plants. Leaves and stal ks have a stronger aroma and flavor, similar to parsley, than that of traditional stalk celery, making them a great choice for fresh use, drying, or freezing for use in soups, stews, and roasted vegetable dishes. Grows to approximately 10-15" tall, best spaced 8-12" apart. Leaf celery can be harvested by the stalk at any time, but over-harvesting may result in a shortened lifespan.
