The poker is made by first forging a leaf on then end and hooking it round to form a loop. Then a spiralling twist is added to the shaft and the end is forged to a point (other opt ions are available). Approximately 66 cm/26 inch long.Have a look at my other pokers if you would like a more complex poker.Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would. Customization is available, including different ends ( Barb, toasting fork, shovel, brush and ash scraper ), and other animal heads ( please visit my online shop to see the full range ). Because of the nature of my work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.
