Carol uses a Power Hammer to forge this broad, thin style of leaf, which she learnt from Dave Hanson of Lake Superior Metalsmiths. Forged from mild steel, wall hooks are ideal for hanging keys, oven mitts, a housecoat or your favourite purse. Accented with a cold chased leaf at the top, akin to birch or poplar, the hook has two recessed holes for mounting, ensuring it does not rotate. While warm, the hook is dipped in vegetable oil, washed and then sprayed with a clear lacquer to ensure it's corrosion resistant. No two hooks are the same. Some have a pointed hook end, while other hook ends are wider. Upon request, a photo can be sent to you prior to shipping to ensure it is what you are looking for.
