You can customize the distance between the horizontal lames to adjust the length, especially if you have a stockier build. I recommend a touch bellow the clavical to a touch bellow the belly bottom for front length which is the most important measurement along with around the waist. For that you should add the width at Waist together of the front and back, and imagine there's a few inches of overlap on each side.
