This leather gorget pattern is designed to protect the neck while still leaving enough room to move comfortably. I originally built mine without padding and designed it to sit a little loose around the neck rather than fitting tight. I've included multiple sizes along with measurements for both an unpadded gorget and one using 1/4" padding. I've also left a little extra room in the sizing so you're not building something that's sitting directly against your neck. This is part of my leather armor series and can be used for SCA armor, LARP, costume or cosplay depending on how you build it and the leather you use.
