Uncle's notes: Cowhide is as classic as you can get in the world of leather. Simple, basic, tough. Cowhide leather is generally thicker and a bit more rugged than calfskin. It shows nice subtle grain and typically has a more natural color. Each of my leather straps comes with quick-release spring bars for convenient strap changes, a handsome stitched border and a classy yet robust brushed buckle. Due to the nature of a natural material like leather, I highly recommend a deployant buckle for your strap. These deployant buckles will not only allow you quicker on/off the wrist, but they will put less stress on the leather holes, creating fewer creases and increasing the life of your strap.
