The blue & purple LEDs work full-spectrum and are ideal for green and blue fibers. The UV LED works best when shining at fibers perpendicularly, commonly seen in hunting sights. The white LED is ideal for red and yellow fibers. 8-32 LED features a tiny Water-Proof brass housing with a diameter of only 0.27”, with a tempered-glass convex lens to focus the light. If you can use a bow sight with a light thread bigger than 8-32, it's better to use it. The 8-32 thread is too small and the aperture can only allow 50% of light through, whereas all other threads can allow 100% light through. The 8-32 thread can also be broken easily. To allow a reasonable light output, the hole at the center of the 8-32 thread needs to be big, which makes the thread too thin and can be easily broken by the shock of the bow. None of these 2 issues affects any other bigger thread, such as the 3/8-32. Any thread other than 8-32 will be 2x as bright. The only exception to the 50% brightness issue, is if you can insert the fiber INTO the 8-32 LED, in which case you will enjoy 100% brightness.
