After the selected hold time has passed without further movement, the tube reduces its light output to the selected standby brightness level. It remains at the reduced level until movement is detected again. When a person, vehicle or other moving object enters the detection area, the tube immediately returns to full brightness. This 2-step dimming operation provides continuous background illumination while reducing the amount of electricity used when the area is unoccupied. Five Adjustable Brightness Levels The standby brightness can be configured using five available output levels. This allows the motion sensor LED tube to provide an appropriate amount of background lighting for each application. A lower standby level can be used to maximise energy savings, while a higher level can provide greater visibility in areas where continuous background lighting is required. Nine Adjustable Time Settings The hold time can be configured using nine adjustable intervals ranging from 5 seconds to 60 minutes. This setting determines how long the motion sensor LED tube remains at full brightness after movement has been detected. If further movement is detected during this period, the timer restarts. Shorter settings may be suitable for corridors, stairwells and access routes. Longer settings may be more appropriate for warehouses, workshops, factories and working areas where people remain present for extended periods. Microwave Motion Detection The integrated microwave sensor uses the Doppler principle to detect movement within the surrounding area. A microwave signal is transmitted and reflected back to the sensor, allowing it to identify movement from people, vehicles and other objects. When movement is detected, the tube increases to full brightness. When the detection area is no longer occupied, the light returns to the selected standby level after the configured hold time. Microwave sensing can provide a wider and more responsive detection area than many conventional passive infrared sensors, making it suitable for large commercial and industrial spaces. Integrated Photocell The built-in photocell allows the motion sensor LED tube to respond to the surrounding daylight level. This can help prevent unnecessary operation when sufficient natural or ambient light is already available. By combining motion detection, daylight monitoring and adjustable standby brightness, the tube provides an effective lighting solution for reducing operating costs and improving energy efficiency. 180-Degree Rotating End Caps The rotating end caps can be adjusted through 180 degrees, allowing the tube and sensor position to be correctly aligned after installation.
