Hightide USA is happy to introduce Presspop from Japan! Yuichi, the director of Hightide USA has been following this Japanese toy company, Presspop for years. This soft vinyl figur ine is the iconic Jamaican record producer, songwriter, and singer, Lee "Scratch" Perry. Presspop’s second collaboration with the “Upsetter” is a very special statue, designed by Archer Prewitt and sculpted by master sculptor, Tomohiro Yasui and produced completely in Japan by Japanese soft-vinyl craftsmen. Prewitt has perfectly captured the true essence of Mr. Perry in his younger years, doing his thing in The Black Ark studio. There is also beautiful sculpting work on the back side of him dancing.
