Legend Spice Blend The original Ohana family recipe, created in 1974 and still a household staple. Legend is a bold blend of ground chili peppers, whole herbs, and spices designed to deliver big flavor with minimal salt. The herbs and spices take center stage, creating a robust, aromatic seasoning that works equally well as a dry rub or everyday kitchen staple. Use it on grilled and roasted meats, stir it into soups, pot roasts, and stews, or sprinkle it over vegetables for an instant flavor boost. Because the salt level is kept low, you stay in control of the seasoning while the chili, herbs, and spices do the heavy lifting. Flavor Profile Bold chili warmth Layered herbal and spice notes Savory depth without excess salt Clean, balanced finish that enhances rather than overwhelms How to Use Dry rub: Generously coat steaks, chicken, pork, or ribs before grilling or roasting. Seasoning: Stir into soups, stews, chili, or pot roasts while cooking. Everyday: Sprinkle on roasted vegetables, eggs, or roasted potatoes. Finishing touch: Mix a small amount into softened butter for a quick compound butter to melt over hot grilled meats. Why Legend Works This is the blend that started it all for the Ohana family. It was developed for real home cooking — versatile enough for weeknight meals and flavorful enough for weekend gatherings. The focus on herbs and spices over salt means it delivers character without making food taste overly salty. Gluten free. Show more
