Lego Robotics by Brain Bytes Academy Ages: 3rd-5th Grade | Beginner&Intermediate In this hands-on robotics class, students design, build, and program their own LEGO Battle Bots while learning core robotics concepts like motors, movement, and sensor-based decision making. With step-by-step instruction, students start with a driving robot, then add sensors to help it react to obstacles and refine performance through guided challenges. Projects include building a Battle Bot base, programming obstacle avoidance, and competing in structured, non-destructive arena challenges focused on strategy and problem-solving—not combat. For kids who have completed previous classes, the subsequent sessions will build on their skills and they can advance through levels. Skills Gained Robotics fundamentals (motors, movement, structure) Beginner/ Intermediate coding and sequencing Sensors + if/then logic Higher-level problem-solving and iteration Teamwork and collaboration Six week session: 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2. Make-up on 6/9 for any kids that have missed 1+ classes. 7.30-8.30pm
