Fig and preserved lemon are the two protagonists of this chutney. The basic flavors are inspired by famous chutney and, equally, by basic ingredients of Berber cuisine. The square of flavors here is made up of the sweetness of the fig, and the acid and salty of the preserved lemon, not to mention the spicy contribution of the baklouti pepper.
